Hampton Designs Studio is seeking consumer growth. We have concluded that the best means would be to branch out and utilize social media for advertising and marketing. We have conducted local studies and performed extensive research to determine what platform should be utilized most and how to navigate this process for optimal results.

 

This report recommends using Instagram as its main marketing platform and suggests strategies through primary and secondary research that has been conducted. These strategies include: social media marketing and online advertising, techniques on building a following and creating loyal followers, and an expansion of consumers. An explanation of how we obtained this material will be provided in this report by detailing our research methodology, analysis, and recommendations.

Key Findings:

  • Micro-influencers achieved 22.2 times more conversations than average consumers when they recommended products.

  • 82% of consumers reported that they were highly likely to follow a recommendation made by a micro-influence.

  • In a recent localized study, Instagram and Snapchat were the top two platforms utilized most by social media users.

  • Effective social media engagement requires consistent engagement and interaction with its audience.

  • The increase in people needing to stay home has resulted in a drastic increase in the amount of online content being absorbed daily.

  • Meaningful engagement allows for a richer experience for the consumer/audience which creates a loyal following.

  • Approximately 66% of survey respondents indicated that they use Instagram and Snapchat the most.

  • Social media platforms are becoming the main source for people to learn more about businesses.

  • Survey respondents preferred small businesses that have a social media presence and consistent consumer engagement.

 

Brief Recommendations:

 

  • Utilize and budget for the use of micro influencers to help build and sponsor the brand.

  • Assign an individual to become the director or manager of the social media platform.

  • Provide consistent content to keep consumers and followers engaged and to increase traffic.

  • Create meaningful content that aligns with the branding of the business.

  • Engage with the audience on a regular basis by utilizing polls, questionnaires, and other forms of customer feedback.

  • Utilize incentives such as giveaways and contests.
